I stopped by Café Carmela on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. It's a pizza shop, which is great because you can sit at a table and enjoy your meal instead of finding a random spot outside. We shared a chicken parm and a cheesesteak, both of which were excellent. The whole menu looked tempting, and I’m definitely going back! The cheesesteak was particularly amazing—it rivals the best in the area.
WOW! Amazing cheesesteak. Better than Angelo’s, Jim’s and john’s. Only rivaled by Dalessandros, but that’s wiz so it’s different. Tons of soft tender onions and so cheesy with the perfect bread and dripping coopersharp. My wife and I loved it. The maggs pizza was excellent too.
This place is a hidden gem. Thank goodness I saw a recommendation online before our trip to Philly. The cheesesteak was phenomenal and some of the best pizza we have ever had.
My husband and I wanted to try this place because our son said it was a really great place as well as having delicious small appetizers plates, pizza and sandwiches. The place has a very warm family/couple friendly atmosphere which we truly enjoyed. The service was top notch and the food was spectacular! We plan to go again to try something different. I definitely recommend giving them a try.
BEST FOOD IVE HAD POST COVID!!!!! Delicious cheesesteak, crispiest wings and freshest pizza! I can’t believe i haven’t come here sooner and our server was so great and nice to our little one!
Everything I've had so far has been delicious ????. My kids even enjoyed eating at the restaurant ????. The gnocchi my Nini is one of my favorite meals I order from here????. We also ordered the peanut butter blast dessert, but that was devoured as soon as it got to our table, but it looked so pretty when it first came out ????. Sorry, but I'm not sorry. The food was way too good to even wait long enough to take a picture of the food before we started eating it ????.
People kept telling me to get to Cafe Carmella for the cheesesteaks. Well I got there, it’s amazing. The cheesesteak was so good and I wouldn’t argue with someone if they said it was top 3 they’ve ever had. But do not sleep on the pizza and fried mozz. Those mozz triangles are some of the freshest and best I’ve ever had.. I’d go for just an order of those!
Absolutely Fire! Cheesesteak is KILLL, pizza is just as good! Food-wise, both locations are the same! My mom said this is the best steak in the city, and I can’t argue that! Upset that I didn’t get a picture of the steak sandwich!
Had lunch with my work team. The food was great & the servers were very friendly. Nice storefront restaurant, can be a short wait. Has a cute seating area outside, can be a little noisy when crowded.
Great as always! This time we tried some new items from the menu - the Bianco pizza, the Cesar salad, fried mozzarella, limoncello gelato, and the affogato. All of it was absolutely amazing but my personal highlights were the fried mozzarella and the affogato, which I was craving again about 5 minutes later. My husband had the limoncello and thought it was good. The service as always was awesome and the ambiance is as always very cozy. Highly recommend.
